The average American is spending about 75% of their income each month to pay back a debt, loans, and the numerous credit cards they use. They live far above their means only because of the buy now pay later and driving thirst for the good life. The good life is a dream that many people share but it should not be lived at the expense of ruining themselves financially. So many Americans seek the help of credit repair person or company. There is a federal law that allows you to dispute an entry on your credit report that is inaccurate or incomplete. This is a free service.

  • 1. Request a copy of your credit report from one of the three credit bureaus.
  • 2. Review the report very carefully, looking for anything that stands out as being an incorrect entry.
  • 3. Write a letter to all of the entries that you care to dispute. Make sure you give them a way to respond back to you. Most companies will be glad to help you.
  • 4. Be ready to prove that the entry was incorrect.


The credit bureaus will send you information with your credit report on how to dispute an entry and they usually do a good job of getting them corrected for you. It does take time and a lot of communicating sometimes. No one can legally remove anything that is reported accurately on your credit report.

Once have your credit corrected, pay your bills on time.

Post date checks have always been a danger but if you must use one be sure to mark the check in a manner where anyone can tell it is a post dated check.

Pay your debts downs and don't add to them if at all possible.

Keep your credit cards at 50% and no more than 60% of the maximum about.

Keep track of where you are with your credit and you'll always know where you going.

Get a free copy of your credit report each year and improve the area that you are weak in. It is just like the report card you from school. So use it to better yourself.
